Dr. Kelli Callahan Dr. Callahan has spent the past 31 years working within the forensic science and criminal justice fields and has taught criminal justice and forensic science classes for the past 28 years. She has also taught forensic science and criminal justice classes and seminars in various law enforcement, investigative, correctional, and related criminal justice academy settings (P.O.S.T). Dr. Callahan’s work experience includes employment in various capacities including crime scene investigations and processing, evidence analysis, forensic medicolegal death

investigations, law enforcement, probation and parole, corrections, forensic mental health, and officer selection and training. During her time in the field, she has worked in numerous specialty units designed to address special offender and victim populations including sexually based crimes, SVP's (sexually violent predators), stalking crimes, crimes against children, domestic violence, gangs and security threat groups (STG’s), high-risk juvenile offenders, and seriously mentally ill (SMI) offenders. Dr. Callahan possesses a Doctorate in Psychology (Ph.D.) with an emphasis in research, a Master of Science Degree in Forensic Science (M.F.S.), a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology (B.S.), and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Anthropology (B.A.). She possesses certifications in forensic medical investigations, crime scene processing, evidence analysis, homeland security, sex offender assessment and treatment, and has served as a certified peace officer in four states. She has presented at numerous forensic and criminal justice conferences over the past 30 years and maintains professional membership in several forensic science and criminal justice organizations. She maintains active involvement in multiple collegiate level forensic science and criminal justice academic curriculum committees and serves as a current member of the Journal of Forensic Science Education and the Cold Case Foundation.
