His journey as a law enforcement officer includes 22-years of service in the United States Marshals Service (USMS) and as a city police officer with the Toledo Police Department in Toledo, Ohio.
As a criminal investigator, Mike managed hundreds of fugitive investigations and missing child cases. He further specialized in financial investigations as a long-standing member of the USMS Financial Surveillance Unit, developing a reputation as a subject matter expert in "following the money." Rising to the role of Senior Operations Manager within the USMS Investigative Operations Division, Mike was specifically assigned to the National Sex Offender Targeting Center (NSOTC). In this role, he designed and implemented a nationwide |
training program to assist state, local, tribal, and military law enforcement agencies in locating and apprehending non-compliant sex offenders. Mike worked as a liaison to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) and helped start the Missing Child Unit at USMS. This unit continues operations today and has helped locate thousands of missing and exploited children all around the world. He is also very proud of helping to establish a Data Science unit to enhance the USMS's investigative capabilities with cutting-edge technology.
Transitioning to the private sector, Wagner leveraged his extensive experience to excel in executive protection, safeguarding the CEO of a Fortune 100 company. He then expanded his expertise to corporate investigations, addressing complex issues such as theft, insider threats, and workplace violence for a major international logistics company. Recognizing the importance of industry standards, Mike obtained the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification from ASIS International, demonstrating his comprehensive knowledge of security principles and practices. He further embraced technological advancements by earning his FAA Part 107 Drone License, acknowledging the growing role of drones in law enforcement and security.
