Bryan Crump Bryan has over 25-years as a fire service professional and currently serves at the rank of Battalion Chief. He served 17 of those years as a fire investigator where he has been fortunate to gain both valuable training and experiences in the field of fire/arson investigation.
Education/Training Bryan holds Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership, Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, and Associates Degree in Fire Science. He has attended the National Fire Academy’s Fire/Arson Investigator Series of classes: Fire/Arson Investigation, Interview and |
Interrogations, Arson Prevention and Control among several other professional classes from the Academy. He is also a graduate from the NFA Executive Fire Officer Program.
Bryan is currently certified as a police officer through Utah Police Officer Standards and Training and Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator through the National Association of Fire Investigators.
Career Highlights
During his years as an investigator, Bryan served as a board member of the International Association of Arson Investigators, Utah Chapter and both vice president and president of the Salt Lake Metro Fire investigation Association. When promoted to Captain, he also became the supervising investigator for the West Jordan Fire Investigations Division.
Bryan had the unique opportunity to work as a task force officer with the Federal Bureau of Investigations Joint Terrorism Task Force, Salt Lake City Division after a multi-million dollar fire of a lumber yard. He was assigned to the domestic terrorism section where he provided investigative expertise related to environmental and animal groups.
Bryan has also taught for many years as an adjunct professor for Utah Valley University in the Emergency Services Department and Fire Rescue Academy.
