Forensics are a vital part of any case brought before investigators. Advances in the science and techniques over the last 30 years have opened up a world of investigative avenues once thought closed off to investigators. These advances are allowing investigators to pull DNA from samples once thought too small or diluted to provide any results. Beyond DNA there have been dramatic leaps made in every area of the forensic sciences; to numerous to be named here.
