Suzanna RyanSuzanna Ryan is a forensic DNA consultant as well as the Laboratory Director of Pure Gold Forensics, an accredited forensic DNA laboratory located in Redlands, CA. Suzanna routinely works with cold case evidence performing both M-Vac collection and forensic DNA testing. She has had the opportunity, in her 22 years as a forensic DNA expert, to be involved in a number of high profile cases around the country both as a DNA analyst and as an expert witness. Ms. Ryan was also part of a team of analysts dedicated to identifying the victims of the Alaska Airlines crash in 2000 and victims of the World Trade Center disaster on September 11, 2001. In addition, she headed up a project in conjunction with the International Commission on Missing Persons to help identify the remains of over 200 victims found in a mass grave in Bosnia.

As part of her consulting work, Suzanna has been a key part of defense teams which have won acquittals for individuals accused of various serious crimes. She also provides advice and training to attorneys, investigators, and others in the legal profession. Ms. Ryan has also been a contributor to Law Officer Magazine, LawOfficer.com, and Forensic Magazine as well as a co- author of several publications in peer-reviewed forensic journals. She is a member of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences, the California Association of Criminalists, and she is certified in Molecular Biology by the American Board of Criminalistics and Licensed as a Forensic Biology/DNA Analyst by the Texas Forensic Science Commission.
