"Several years ago, the Cold Case Foundation came out to our area for a two day training and a separate day to consult with our cold case team on three of our cases.  They provided great tips for each case and over the next year, we were able to close one as a suicide using their advice for a different way to identify our deceased.  In another case, their advice was to use DNA technology to help identify skeletal remains from a 1996 case.  We were fortunate enough to have funding provided by an outside source a year later to proceed with the same technology CCF recommended, and after about 25 years, we were able to identify the remains, which led us to a suspect, who is now in custody for murder after he confessed to the killing.  We are very appreciative to the Cold Case Foundation for taking the time to assist us with new ideas in our cases and to have two of our cases solved is a testament to their commitment in assisting agencies with difficult cases."
