Krista TroupKrista is currently a medicolegal death investigator with the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s (DCME) Office. For 17+ years she has been actively involved in investigating deaths of every manner and cause. This includes daily attendance at death scenes in every imaginable location and of every imaginable circumstance.
In the 17+ years employed with the DCME, she has routinely taken, analyzed, and reported on deaths from an additional 50 counties in the state of Texas. This makes her uniquely experienced in the investigation of death scenes not personally attended. Krista had also been an educator for over 5 years with Dallas College. She teaches criminalistics, crime scene investigations, and death investigations. Her students have gone on to jobs in the Dallas metroplex. |
Krista previously worked for a small police department in Clyde, Texas, where she was the sole investigator and canine officer. While with the Clyde Police Department, she became familiar with the challenges and unique operations of a small town.
Prior to her employment in Clyde, she worked in Washington, DC as an investigator for private criminal defense attorneys. While there, she also worked for the public defender’s office as an investigator.
