Ingrid WeinmullerA former police officer with over a decade of service in municipal law enforcement, Ingrid began her law enforcement career in 1990 in Provo City, Utah. Ingrid was attending Brigham Young University at the time, studying Psychology, Family Sciences and Criminal Justice and began working with the Provo Police Department. A desire to serve in a capacity that would allow her to preserve the safety and quality of life for those in the community inspired her to attend and graduate from the Utah State Police Academy. Ingrid served as a Police Officer and a Detective.
Very quickly Ingrid’s life-long passion and ability to work well with youth was recognized and she was appointed as the School Resource |
Officer and Detective at Timpview High School. She excelled in this role and concurrently became the Provo School District Crisis Management Team Leader and also became E.M.T. certified.
Detective Weinmuller received advanced training in hostage negotiation, violent crimes perpetrated against families, women and children, and narcotics. As a hostage negotiator, she frequently used her skills to help people in crisis and save suicidal individuals in the community. Ingrid also conducted public-safety courses and taught self-defense to women and teens in the community.
Detective Weinmuller served on multiple Utah County task force teams in narcotics, undercover work and became a lead investigator in violent crimes with a focus on domestic and sex abuse cases for women and children. As a function of conducting and supervising investigations, Ingrid had the delicate task of interviewing women and child domestic and sex abuse victims. As an expert witness in the prosecution of these crimes, Ingrid testified numerous times in court leading to conviction. She was also a victim advocate for violent crime victims.
In 2002, Ingrid retired as a Master Police Officer and Detective having served with distinction and receiving the Outstanding Police Service Award in 1994 and 2000. She is honored to be working with Greg Cooper again, her former Chief of Police and Chaplain Dean Jackson in the mission of helping families close these most important cases. Ingrid has had a successful second career as an entrepreneur and CEO of her own businesses focused on high net-worth real estate investing, sales, internet marketing and helping individuals create online legacy businesses. In addition, Ingrid has continued her work with the youth in the community through church and other privately funded programs such as Hoofbeats for Healing, which provides equine therapy for the treatment of PTSD, military and retired first responders. Ingrid has plans to finish her college degree in counseling with an emphasis in empowering troubled youth. Ingrid resides in Provo, UT with her faithful canine companion, Duke.
