Jeff WoodWood worked as a Special Agent in the FBI for over twenty years, conducting complex criminal investigations targeting violent street gangs. Wood’s investigations include, but are not limited to, the Bloods, Crips, Gangsta Disciples, Hell’s Angels, Latin Gangsta Disciples, Latin Kings, MS-13, Outlaws, and 18th Street. He is an expert in Interviewing and Interrogations, Violent Crime Investigations, and the creation of Multi-Agency Investigative Task Forces. Wood provided Expert Witness testimony based on his gang investigations involving a myriad of violent crimes in both federal and state courts.

Wood began his career in the United States Army as an Airborne Ranger serving in the Republic of Panama as a rifle platoon leader and a scout/sniper platoon leader. Upon returning to the U.S., he served as a rifle platoon leader and company executive officer in Washington D.C.
Upon leaving the Army, Wood spent two years in the Bureau of Diplomatic Security, protecting U.S. and foreign dignitaries, including Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright. He also served as an Assistant Regional Security Officer in the U.S. Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Wood entered the Federal Bureau of Investigation, serving in various investigative and supervisory positions in Boston, Massachusetts and Washington, D.C. Wood, as the FBI representative to the Bureau of Justice Assistance, instructed local, state, and federal law enforcement officers around the country on conducting gang investigations. He recently retired from the FBI and now serves as an adjunct professor for Boston College.
