J.R. RainboltSpecial Agent (Retired) Rainbolt spent twenty years with the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Division (USACID). During this time, he was a Supervisory Special Agent (SSA) he oversaw CID offices and was responsible for the supervision of five to twenty-five personnel including Agents and support people. Supervised and managed multi-agency criminal task forces. Managed and conducted felony investigations involving, murder, rape, burglary, aggravated assault, illegal drug possession, use and sale, fraud, bribery, various undercover operations, hostage negotiation, terrorist activities, human trafficking, and polygraph. Expert interrogator and psychological interviewing techniques trainer.

In 1999, Special Agent Rainbolt retired from CID and began his second career with the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) where he spent almost twenty-three years. During his time there he worked as a multi-disciplined security officer. He conducted Counterintelligence Security and Criminal Specific Polygraphs for the NRO. He identified criminal acts, espionage, terrorism involvement and solicited a plethora of other information saving vital national intelligence assets while identifying multiple criminal violations. Mentored less experienced polygraph officers. He has conducted over seven thousand polygraph examinations.
Supervised ten polygraph officers and two office administrators. Made scheduling decisions affecting the day-to-day office operation. Reviewed and approved reports of other polygraph officers and conducted daily quality assurance on all polygraph examinations.
