Kacy spent twelve years with the oldest and largest search and rescue organization in the state of Utah with her two canine partners, Uintah and Wahsatch, both Golden Retrievers. Throughout her tenure with that organization, she served on both the Board and Management Teams, as the Public Relations/Law Enforcement Liaison, and as the photographer for the team.
She attended search missions for both living and deceased victims throughout Utah and the Intermountain West. Upon leaving, she and her partners were specialized in Avalanche Recovery, Disaster Recovery, Wilderness Search, and Human Remains Detection.
In 2017, Kacy and her search partner Bret Sayer, established Fide Canem Cold Case, Inc. the first search and recovery team focusing exclusively on cold case and evidence recovery.
Kacy’s extensive knowledge of forensics, crime scene containment, management and preservation, and canine handling make her distinctively qualified to serve law enforcement in this unique capacity.
Kacy is grateful for the opportunity to partner with The Cold Case Foundation.
