Laurie MilordLaurie Milord has broad crime analysis experience spanning 21 years in several local law enforcement agencies. She has participated in all areas of crime analysis to include tactical, administrative, strategic and community based functions, while working closely with crime prevention, patrol officers and detectives.
After graduating from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Police Science Administration Laurie served in the United States Coast Guard in communications, where she obtained her Master’s Degree in business/Human Resources from Webster University. In 1998 Laurie accepted a position in the Santa Rosa, California Police Department where she became a certified crime and intelligence analyst through California State University. |
In 2002, Laurie moved to Colorado and began working as a tactical Crime Analyst with the Aurora Police Department where her main focus was on patterns and series in robberies, burglaries, motor vehicle thefts, and sexual assaults. She received a Commander’s Commendation for her work on a serial kidnapper, who robbed and sexually assaulted his victims.
An opportunity to start a crime analysis unit presented itself in 2005 when Laurie accepted the position of Parker Colorado Police Department’s first crime Analyst. As a single analyst she set up the unit and developed queries through a connection the RMS system to provide the department with statistics and crime data they had not previously had access to. Laurie also created and implemented a redistricting proposal for more efficient patrol coverage, as well as working in all areas of crime analysis.
In 2019 Laurie moved back to her hometown of Tucson, Arizona and obtained her Real Estate License and fulfilled a long time goal to fix and flip a house. Laurie currently works part time for a residential appraiser.
