Lloyd "Jay" MorrowLloyd (Jay) Morrow served law enforcement over 37 years prior to retirement. In 30 years of service with the Nebraska State Patrol, he began as a uniformed patrol officer, spent four years as a drug investigator, and served in the Criminal Investigations Division for more than ten years. He also served on the SWAT team and was a firearms instructor. As a drug investigator he received training in manufacture and distribution of controlled substances and conducting interviews and interrogations. He managed confidential informants, executed search warrants, and conducted surveillance and undercover operations.
As a Criminal Investigator, he handled cases ranging from petty theft to murder. He participated in numerous death investigations, including |
suspicious deaths and homicides, and the review of several cold cases. Suspects were developed in all the cold cases and several were successfully prosecuted. He received training in processing and collection of evidence, and additional training in interrogation and interviews. He was certified by the International Association for Identification as a crime scene investigator.
After retiring from the State Patrol, he was the sole investigator for the Saunders County, Nebraska Sheriff’s office for six and a half years. He conducted a wide range of investigations, which included property theft, death investigations, and child abuse/sexual assault.
