Sara WithrowAn Intelligence Analyst with over 14 years of service in the federal government and intelligence community, Sara is experienced in counterterrorism matters with specialized knowledge of the construction and emplacement of improvised explosive devices throughout Africa. Additionally, Sara received training and worked in asset validation and human intelligence operations and spent four years covering transnational organized crime investigations. Since the start of her career, Sara has completed multiple overseas temporary duty assignments, including a long-term deployment to Germany in support of Special Operations Command. the US Government, intelligence community, and foreign partners by providing strategic and tactical intelligence information through intelligence products, briefings, and liaison exchanges.
Originally from West Virginia, Sara graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Anthropology and graduated cum laude with a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice and Criminal Behavior from Tiffin University. During her studies, she interned as a probation officer in Morgantown, WV and acted as a Teaching Assistant for a WVU Criminology course. While obtaining her graduate degree, she was employed as a Research Analyst at the West Virginia Division of Criminal Justice Statistical Analysis Center, where her focus was prison population forecasts. After receiving her master’s degree, Sara was hired on with the federal government, where she continues to work today.
